Business Function
Corporate Development team supports DBS’ management and board in the origination and execution of strategic transactions globally, including mergers and acquisitions, investments and divestments, joint ventures and partnerships and new business initiatives, to maximise DBS’ financial and competitive position.
Responsibilities
You will be part of a dynamic team that provides execution leadership and works closely with DBS' business units and external counterparties to ensure that DBS' strategic priorities are met in all our strategic transactions. This will involve a range of tasks including identifying potential investment and acquisition opportunities, macro and industry research, financial modelling and valuation analysis, due diligence, negotiation, obtaining internal and regulatory approvals and ensuring robust corporate governance over DBS' investment companies.
As an important team member, you will have the opportunity to work on or lead a variety of transactions across various jurisdictions. This will allow you to gain in-depth exposure to the breadth of our business and the complexity of our operations and products, and be exposed to DBS' management at an early stage of your career.
Requirements- At least 8 years of relevant working experience in corporate finance / investment banking, corporate development.
- Solid understanding of and interest in corporate finance principles.
- Strong ability to design and interpret complex financial models and valuation
- Demonstrate good business acumen in understanding value chains and jobs to be done, coupled with strong analysis and valuation skills
- Proactive, with a high level of resourcefulness to drive new initiatives and projects – this includes having strong organisational, time management and multi-tasking skills
- Have excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills, and be able to engage internal and external stakeholders effectively
