Chartering Trainee - Toa Payoh

SALARY: SGD 4,000 per month

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Chartering Trainee. In this role, you will assist in the chartering of vessels and engage in negotiations with shipowners and shipbrokers, cultivating a profound understanding of the shipping industry.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in chartering operations: Assist chartering managers in negotiating and concluding charter parties, including drafting and reviewing charter party agreement.
• Vessel Positioning: Assist in positioning vessels to meet chartering requirements.
• Communication with stakeholders: Develop and maintain relationships with various industry stakeholders.
• Data Entry and Record Keeping: Accurately enter and maintain chartering data, including vessel positions, charter party agreements and market rates.
• Learning and Development: Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge and skills in chartering, shipping and related areas.

Experience/ Skills/ Competencies:

• Degree in any field, Maritime is a plus
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
