Toa Payoh - Accounting Senior Manager / Manager (Fixed Asset & Governance)
Contract Duration: 24 months (renewable or convertible to permanent based on performance and business needs)
Work Location: Within walking distance of Little India MRT
Work Hours: 8.30am to 6pm (Monday to Thursday), 8.30am to 5.30pm (Friday)
Background:Our client plays a key role in supporting the development and long-term management of national infrastructure. You will be part of a finance team responsible for the accounting, reporting, and governance of high-value physical assets. The Accounting Senior Manager / Manager (Fixed Asset & Governance) position is well-suited for professionals with a background in finance or accounting, particularly those with a keen interest in fixed assets and asset governance work within complex infrastructure or regulated environments.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage fixed asset accounting operations, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting standards.
- Provide accounting advisory support in line with evolving financial reporting requirements (e.g. SB-FRS 16, 38, 116).
- Oversee the execution of annual asset verification exercises and drive timely resolution of any discrepancies.
- Coordinate with auditors and internal stakeholders to support statutory reporting and audit requirements.
- Review development project costs for appropriate capitalisation and identify areas for improvement in processes and governance.
- Partner business and operational teams to promote strong asset stewardship and lifecycle management.
- Apply data analysis and visualisation techniques to extract insights and enhance reporting capabilities.
- Lead or support digitalisation initiatives to streamline fixed asset processes and controls.
- Contribute to system improvement projects, translating business needs into actionable system requirements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting or a related discipline, with a solid grounding in financial reporting standards.
- 7 to 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 to 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in organisations managing large-scale infrastructure or public sector assets is highly advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP, data visualisation tools, or automation platforms (RPA) will be advantageous.
- Interest in asset governance, policy development, and lifecycle management of fixed assets.
- Effective communicator with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
