We are looking for a Senior / Manager, Events to join our team!
As a Senior / Manager, Events we rely on you to:
- Works directly with event organizers to understand their event programs and requirements, providing professional advice and assistance throughout the planning process.
- Conducts venue inspections with organizers or external contractors for planning meetings or event setup.
- Provides menu recommendations or custom menu designs, offering flexibility and opportunities for upselling.
- Coordinates food tastings for organizers of high-profile or special events prior to the event days to ensure customer expectations are met.
- Coordinates audio-visual, floral arrangements, and other event requirements with hotel operating teams.
- Works independently with external vendors to arrange special event details, such as venue theme decoration, entertainment, and more.
- Develops strong relationships with organizers, fostering guest loyalty to encourage repeat business.
- Monitors room block reductions, attrition, and cut-off times, ensuring smooth room management.
- Reviews rooming lists and reservation deadlines with organizers to provide accurate group forecasts.
- Distributes updated rooming lists to the Reservations team for booking and confirmations.
- Coordinates VIP guests’ arrangements and transportation as required.
- Reviews and confirms group billing with organizers before the events.
- Issues external Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to organizers for each event, confirming final event details and billing arrangements.
- Provides timely and accurate event information to internal departments via Group Resumes and BEOs, ensuring all client requests are met.
- Attends internal event standard meetings or external business meetings as required.
- Engages in post-event conversations with organizers to gather qualitative feedback and encourage responses to the Event Performance Measurement (EPM).
- Shares client feedback or comments regarding operations and services with the events management team and senior hotel management.
Job Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate/NiTEC, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
- At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- Preferably Manager specialized in Hotel Management/Tourism Services or equivalent.
