Our Opportunity
This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in and focus on investment and market risk management, as well as regulatory compliance. The intern will support the Risk & Compliance Team in overseeing both client investment portfolios and the company’s internal funds, contributing to risk monitoring, analysis, and reporting processes.
The role will also expose the intern to AML/CFT (Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism) measures, compliance requirements, and digital strategies relevant to the financial services industry.
Job Responsibilities
The intern will assist the Risk & Compliance Team in:
- Investment & Market Risk Monitoring
- Assist in monitoring market risk exposures across client portfolios and the firm’s proprietary funds.
- Support the development and enhancement of risk methodology, stress testing frameworks, and scenario analyses.
- Help track key risk indicators, portfolio sensitivities, and limit breaches.
- Assist in preparing risk reports for internal stakeholders.
- Process & Data Analysis
- Assist in data management, automation, and visualization for risk analysis.
- Support the team in enhancing risk reporting tools and dashboards.
- Work on ad-hoc projects related to risk governance and investment risk frameworks.
- Regulatory Compliance & AML/CFT
- Support AML/CFT implementation, including conducting due diligence and transaction monitoring for client activities.
- Assist in reviewing regulatory obligations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.
- Support internal audits and control reviews related to risk and compliance processes.
- Currently pursuing or completed a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field, with a strong academic record.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in financial markets, compliance, and risk management.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to prepare concise reports and presentations.
- Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis tools is a plus.
- Able to commit min 3 months, 6 months highly preferred.
