The Tax Policy and Programmes team supports the agency’s mission through its expertise in structuring and implementing tax incentive programmes as part of the Board’s broader suite of support programmes for enterprise and industry development.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about developing strong enterprises and competitive industries, possess international taxation experience, keen business acumen and strong communication skills to join our team as Deputy Director.
[What you will be working on]
As Deputy Director, you will lead the team to deliver value to the agency’s mission in the following areas:- Proactively monitoring, assessing impact and formulating responses to international tax developments.
- Reviewing tax policies and drawing up guidelines in light of shifting global business environment and needs of companies.
- Implementing tax incentives programmes in a pro-business manner whilst ensuring the incentives deliver the intended policy outcomes and are conducted with proper governance in place.
- Partnering internal stakeholders to structure fit-for-purpose solutions (blend of support across different programmes) for companies to achieve desired outcomes for growth and industry development/transformation.
- Working with Ministries and other Statutory Boards on broader tax issues.
- Degree in any discipline. Background in accounting and/or taxation would be an advantage.
- At least 5 years’ experience in company, tax advisory or government agency with exposure to international tax issues.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record in managing teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Keen business acumen.
- Good writing and communication skills.
