As a practice of “the world is our R&D centre”, we are actively connecting Haier to the global innovation communities so that the brightest minds across all fields can see the areas that Haier is pursuing, and recommend solutions, contacts or resources to fulfil these needs.
We are currently looking for Innovation and Business Development Manager (R&D) to further support the growing needs from business.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Based in Singapore, you will be part of the global resource sharing platform (HOPE Global) to identify opportunities in the R&D field, further drive the resources growth and strengthen R&D strategic relationships. The daily and monthly responsibilities include:
- Build up the innovation ecosystem based on Haier’s need which might include but not limit to the following services: global technology scouting, technology decomposition analysis, expert consultation, joint development projects.
- Proven ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships and diverse partnerships with a wide range of global ecosystem stakeholders, including government agencies, universities, start-ups, venture capital firms, incubators, and industry associations.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidates we are looking for should be a seasoned R&D professional with:
- A minimum Master's degree in science or engineering is required for this role, with a PhD considered an added advantage;
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of technology with a proactive and adaptable approach to exploring and staying updated on emerging technologies and evolving industry trends;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Chinese (to liaise with Mandarin speaking stakeholders).
- Strong communication skills to articulate goals, responsibilities, expectations, and feedback effectively across all levels.
- Confidence, optimism, and the ability to work collaboratively in teams.
