Traffic Controller/Assistant Controller - Bukit Batok

About the role

As a Traffic Controller at Regent Logistics Pte Ltd, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of goods and vehicles through our warehousing and distribution operations. Reporting to the Fleet Manager, this full-time position is based in the Taman Jurong West Region.

• Planning and assigning of daily transportation schedules
• Responsible for operations after official working hour to ensure smooth deliverance
• Managing our customer service operation at our Batam and Bintan office
• Responsible for all weekly vessels schedule
• Responsible for all daily depot processes and operations for the next subsequent day
• Informing our customers of the container details
• Ensuring all additional charges are being accounted accordingly
• Proactively getting updates for all container status
• Act as the contingency for the main traffic controller in their absence
• Processing of discharged containers
• Booking of Escorts for the vessel and handling permits for LTA Oversized cargo
• Other ad-hoc duties as tasked by Reporting Officer

• At least 2 years of experience as a Traffic Controller or in a similar role within the logistics or distribution industry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with traffic management systems, equipment, and safety protocols
• Good knowledge of the relevant regulations and laws governing traffic management in the logistics sector
• Proficient in the use of relevant software and technology for traffic control and monitoring
• A team player with a strong focus on safety and efficiency
