Software Engineer (Release Management)

2 year contract

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate software release schedules for timely delivery.
• Conduct release readiness assessments and milestone reviews.
• Prepare software components, including bundling and release notes.
• Collaborate with development and project teams for seamless releases.
• Support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
• Improve release and build processes with automation and rollback strategies.
• Track, document, and resolve defects during the release process.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools.
• Manage configuration items and version control.
• Ensure compliance through configuration audits and status accounting.
• Set up and manage development and build environments.
• Maintain documentation for release, configuration, and compliance.
• Define and monitor quality metrics for software releases.

Requirements:

• Singaporeans ONLY
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in release management.
• Proficiency in C, Java, Python, SQL, and XML.
• Experience with C++ compilation and debugging using MS Visual Studio.
• Knowledge of shell scripting, Ant scripting, Jira, and Perforce.
• Familiarity with IEC, ISO, or CMMI standards.
• Strong skills in software development, version control, build automation, and quality management.
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD practices.
• Deep understanding of configuration management and the software development lifecycle.
• Familiarity with code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain software quality.
