Production Technician - Woodlands

Job Responsibilities:

• Use mathematical knowledge and precision tools (e.g., micrometers, vernier callipers) to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
• Machine parts according to specifications using tools such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and shapers
• Set up CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and workpieces to ensure accurate machining.
• Monitor machine performance, adjusting settings as needed to maintain precision and meet quality standards.
• Troubleshoot machine malfunctions by observing machine operation, making adjustments, or initiating repairs as necessary.
• Ensure proper lubrication and cooling of workpieces during the machining process.
• Collaborate with engineers and production staff to optimize production workflows, reduce cycle times, and improve overall machining efficiency.
• Ensure that all operations comply with safety regulations and company quality standards.

Requirements:

• Minimum of ITE/NITEC in Precision Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Knowledge of G-code and M-code programming languages.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with various CNC machines and with a strong understanding of CNC machining processes and operations (e.g., CNC lathes, milling machines, etc.).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to work rotating shifts.
