Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain an effective compliance framework for the Financial Advisory industry
- Evaluate and improve the company's compliance with the legal obligations and corporate SOPs by overseeing the legal department
- Check that distribution personnel fulfill the company's instructions, circulars, notifications, and legislation, as well as those imposed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore or the Singapore Life Insurance Association
- Consult and work with regulatory organizations, external advisors, relevant stakeholders on legal, audit and compliance issues
- Follow up with regulatory changes and make recommendations for quality standards
- Generate data for monthly reporting to relevant authorities
Requirements:
- At least 5 to 7 years of related experience in the financial industry
- Knowledge of Singapore’s regulatory requirements; MAS Notices and Guidelines, PDPA, Balance Score Card regime, Securities and Futures Act, AML/CFT regulations and Financial Advisers Act
- Experience with MAS will be advantageous
- Good communication and written skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
