Network Security Engineer (Check Point) | $ 5200 | Central - Geylang

Responsibilities:

• Deploy, configure, and upgrade cybersecurity solutions (Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Web Proxy, Email Security, IAM).
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network and security issues (TCP/IP, NAT, VLAN, OSPF, BGP, LDAP, RADIUS).
• Work closely with customers to analyze security requirements and propose effective solutions.
• Conduct training sessions for customers, partners, and internal teams on cybersecurity products.
• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, hacking techniques, and best practices to improve security measures.
• Assist in pre-sales and technical consultation, including product demonstrations and tender compliance.
• Obtain and maintain technical certifications in cybersecurity technologies to enhance expertise.

Requirements:

• Nitec/Higher Nitec certificate, Diploma/Degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT, Network Security, or Cybersecurity (Fresh graduates may be considered for an Associate Engineer role).
• Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SIEM, cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and virtualization.
• Hands-on experience with Linux, networking protocols (TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP), and security best practices.
• Familiarity with scripting/programming (Python, C++, Java, Bash, PowerShell) is a plus.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, OSCP, CyberArk, or other security-related credentials are preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and a keen interest in cybersecurity.
