Demand Planning Manager - Choa Chu Kang
The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a hands-on demand planning manager to manage all aspects of our demand planning process that includes S&OP activities for Avantor/VWR manufacturing site. This position will be based at our Gul Drive (Tuas) office.
In this role, you will be responsible for all demand planning, forecasting processes, demand planning tools and metrics. You will also be accountable for leading the optimization of forecasting and demand planning and the execution of the demand planning processes to meet and exceed customer requirements and business expectations.
What we’re looking for:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or a related field required
- Experience: 10 years of experience in demand and supply planning, logistics and procurement in a chemical, pharmaceutical or related industries.
- Collaboration: Microsoft Teams experience preferred
- Certifications: Six Sigma and/or Lean Certification preferred

How would you thrive and create an impact:
You will partner with our commercial team and major clients across Southeast Asia and Taiwan to oversee all demand and supply planning activities and it will include:
- Drives the deployment of the demand planning process within the overall S&OP process across the Avantor manufacturing and Operations organization.
- Manages and provides leadership for interfacing with the Avantor Distribution SC team to develop the demand plan for a minimum of 12 months.
- Provides leadership to incorporate corporate initiatives into the demand planning and forecasting processes.
- Manages the demand planning analysts in the development of the monthly forecast.
- Develops training and/or mentoring programs to build the capabilities of the demand planning staff.
- Establishes and reports clear metrics, aligned with global policies, to manage the demand planning processes and the results in all areas. Provides data that drives actions including root cause analysis, problem solving, actions, owners and timescales.
- Establishes cross-functional teams as necessary to address demand planning process issues that will impact service to customers or business objectives.
- Establishes and deploys best practices to ensure customer and business expectations are met for all processes.
- Execute allocations or priorities for the respective markets or regions in case of supply constraints
- Drive process standardization and continuous improvement. Redesign processes to reduce chances of errors
- Perform other duties as assigned
