- Supervise the design, development, and commissioning of high speed stamping tools and dies.
- Review and validate strip layouts, die designs, and tooling specifications to ensure optimal performance.
- Provide hands-on technical support during tool trials, debugging, and production scale-up.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve tool-related issues and improve stamping process efficiency.
- Coordinate engineering projects and tooling schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) from design validation through to production.
- Lead engineering change requests (ECR) and ensure all modifications are well-documented and implemented.
- Drive productivity initiatives such as tool life extension, cycle time reduction, and scrap minimization.
- Analyze root causes of tooling or quality issues and implement robust corrective actions.
- Promote lean practices and contribute to Kaizen/CI projects across engineering and production.
- Ensure proper creation and maintenance of technical documentation: drawings, BOMs, manuals, and PM schedules.
- Adhere to ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific standards.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Procurement, and Sales teams to ensure engineering alignment with business and customer needs.
- Participate in customer design reviews and technical feasibility discussions when required.
- Support adoption of digital tools and best practices in engineering design and operations.
- Be able to participate as a team player in a supportive environment
- Perform any other duties assigned by supervisor and/or management
