Regional Finance Controller
We are looking for a talented Finance Controller reporting to the APAC Finance & Operations Director, working together with a small team of financials professionals, ensuring that proper reportings and processes are in place in the region, contributing to performance optimisation and supporting newly onboarded entities.
The Finance Controller tasks cover the entire financial spectrum of a multinational company with a regional focus.
Main tasks & responsibilities- Monitoring the performance of the operating companies through monthly report review and analysis. Delivering reliable information to the management
- Providing guidance to the operating companies on reporting and processes, in line with IFRS and IMCD Accounting guidelines
- Be the change agent to drive productivity and innovation
- Engage and influence the local finance team to drive process improvement and financial excellence
- Analysing and delivering timely and reliable information to the management and Business Group Directors (dashboards, presentations)
- Monitoring cash optimization, reviewing cash forecasts and tightly monitoring working capital KPIs
- Optimizing and managing the global risk & control framework
- Performing financial and operational audits in the operating companies and following up on outstanding actions of internal audit
- Supervising and contributing to the planning & control cycle (forecasts, budgets)
- Support M&A and due diligence for coming acquisition projects
- Responsible for newly acquired entities transition to IMCD processes:
- Piloting all area (HR, commercial, operational, Finance, HSEQR, etc.) with respective stakeholders
- Implementing new finance set up and support for finance tools implementation (JDE, Onestream, Tableau).
- Ad hoc support for the region or group report and analysis needs
Qualifications:
- To succeed in this position, you will need to go way beyond the technical competencies related to your finance role – you need to have excellent teamwork, strong analytical and communication skills, and ability to manage complex cross-functional projects, ability to lead and thrive in a matrixed organisation
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field; MBA or advanced degree/CPA preferred
- Over eight years' accounting experience in large multinationals, public accounting experience is a plus
- Experienced in financial planning, budget forecast, financial reporting, strong analytical skillset
- Project management ability: used to coordinate actions involving different departments and different countries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently, think strategically, demonstrated leadership skills
- Ability to work on cross functional teams in an effective manner
- Proficient in Accounting Systems (JDE, Autocount, etc.), finance reporting tools and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint and etc.)
- Positive, ‘can do’ hands on attitude
- Good business acumen and a high level of business integrity
