Job Description
We invite applicants for full time Teaching Assistant position in the Department of Political Science. This would be for one-year contract period with a salary that commensurate with qualifications and experience. The full time TA would be teaching in the following areas:
- Political Science
- Global Studies
- Attend lectures for those courses he/she is teaching
- Conduct tutorial section
- Mark CA and exam scripts
- Provide students’ consultation to clarify doubts on the courses
- Assist in examination matters (e.g. invigilation duties)
- Key in of course marks online
- Any other work related and admin responsibilities as required by the department
Qualifications
Qualifications: Successful candidates must have at least a good undergraduate Honours degree in Social Science (e.g. Political Science) or equivalent. Prior teaching experience preferred but not essential. Good interpersonal skills and collegiality.Good spoken and written communication skills.
