Job Description:

The primary role of the IT Infrastructure Project Manager is to manage and ensure all system projects for the organization are to make good progress and be on track. You will be required to plan, direct, coordinate activities, resources and report regularly on the progress of the projects to ensure that it is staying on the approved schedule.

The ideal candidate will be an excellent leader with experience in managing multiple parties of different disciplines to produce results in a timely manner. The candidate will also be able to develop efficient strategies and tactics to lead the overall project with strong attention to strategy, change management, and implementation.

The goal is to ensure that projects being handled deliver the desirable outcome to our organization.

Key Responsibilities

The scope of responsibilities includes the following
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of projects according to agreed schedule and user requirements
  • Work on project scoping with business/product managers, development and design teams to determine the system enhancements required
  • Develop the project plan including detailed activities, resource planning, and prioritization of multiple projects
  • Take up a leadership role and lead diverse teams of stakeholders, assign tasks and deadlines
  • Planning of user acceptance testing scenarios based on requirements and scope defined
  • Proactively ensure alignment and manage expectations between cross-functional teams and management to ensure end objectives are met
  • Conduct project meetings to determine and resolve issues associated with project implementation, recommend schedule changes or resource adjustments
  • Drive project discipline to document scope changes, issues, and risks that affect the implementation
  • Plan, monitor, and report progress of projects to key stakeholders
  • Identify gaps and manage project risks/ issues and take appropriate prevention and mitigation actions
  • Conduct post-mortem briefing to identify lessons learned to contribute to the knowledge base
  • Ensure the smooth and successful transition of all projects to IT operations with proper documentation and knowledge transfer to support the business

Job Profile

Required Skills and Knowledge
  • Degree in Information Technology or related fields
  • Minimum 5 years of IT infrastructure project management experience in mid-to-large scale projects, preferably from SI Environment
  • Strong understanding of IT technical concepts and jargon
  • Experience working in a large matrix organization
  • Ability to demonstrate experience in managing diverse groups of stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to influence and communicate with all levels of stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Result-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Sense of ownership and demonstrate strong responsibilities
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods
  • Excellent Knowledge of performance evaluation and change management principles
  • Outstanding leadership and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Individual contributor and team player
  • Project management certification (e.g. PMP) will be an added advantage
