Role Objective

The Operations and Visual Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team accountable for bringing Alo’s operational and visual strategy to life in the store. This individual is passionate about inventory management, labour planning and scheduling, and visual execution – all with a lens on driving an efficient and effective store operation.

This role’s north star is pointed at ensuring that the store is customer-ready at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Operations and Visual Leader
  • Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes.
  • Investigate and root cause inventory accuracy issues, partnering with the Brand Manager to escalate process or system gaps.
  • Champion strong visual standards for the salesfloor by leveraging business performance data
  • Support sell-through management by ensuring accuracy of inventory counts and coordinates labour hours to efficiently receive product deliveries.
  • Coordinates with the Store Manager and Brand Manager on the process to upkeep the stockroom organization for the purposes of restocking and replenishment to optimize sales opportunities.
  • Support a safe work environment and efficient operation.
Business Leader
  • Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls, in partnership with the Brand Manager on the aspects of store design, layout and operational excellence.
  • Review, monitor and partner with Brand Manager to manage the budgets, reporting and business data; including metrics (e.g. Expenses, sell-thru) and inform future planning processes (e.g. business reviews and sales & operational planning).
  • Future planning workflow for optimal performance and productivity.
People Leader
  • Ensure that the Operations and Visual team exudes Alo's mission and values to effectively communicate to our visitors who we are, what we do and why we do what we do.
  • Leads a team through accountability, continuous coaching on a regular basis, development of talent, and elevating effective communication throughout the Operations and Visual team.
  • Develops and runs effective schedule that prioritizes the best business strategy, in partnership with the Brand Manager.
Operational Excellence
  • Maintain accurate records of lost and found items, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Cashiering responsibilities, daily cash floats, ensuring all cashier equipment and systems are functioning properly.
  • Perform sales reconciliation and investigate discrepancies, implementing preventative measures to mitigate financial losses.
  • Safeguard cash, assets, and store keys, ensuring adherence to company policies by all team members.
  • Any other ad hoc responsibilities assigned as needed.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong business acumen with a focus on KPIs, sales performance, and operational excellence.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for driving business results.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management abilities.
  • People and team leadership experience will be advantageous.
  • Aligned with the company’s values and mission, demonstrating professionalism and integrity.
  • Experience in Singapore’s retail market is highly preferred.
