We are seeking a full-time Coding/Robotics teacher to teach and lead our coding and robotics enrichment programs for children aged 4-16. The ideal candidate will have a passion for robotics, programming, and education, with experience in teaching and managing children in a classroom setting.
As a Coding/Robotics teacher, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging and effective robotics curricula, managing and maintaining the robotics lab, and fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver robotics and coding curricula to students of various ages and skill levels
- Teach students how to use robotics equipment and programming software
- Manage and maintain the robotics lab, including equipment and supplies
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback and support to students and parents
- Organize and lead robotics competitions and events
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in robotics technology and education
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to plan and implement cross-disciplinary projects and events
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities
Requirements:
- Experience in teaching and managing children in a classroom setting
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Scratch, and Java
- Familiarity with robotics equipment and software, such as Arduino, LEGO Mindstorms, and VEX Robotics
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Creativity and enthusiasm for developing engaging and effective curricula
- Ability to adapt to changing technology and education trends
- Strong organizational and time management skills
