Application Support Engineer - Eames Consulting

We are partnered with a well established financial institution to look for an Application Support Analyst. You'll play a key role in maintaining and enhancing critical enterprise applications that support internal business operations. This is a hands-on technical position that combines problem-solving, collaboration, and opportunities to innovate and automate

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot application issues across multiple environments and ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
• Participate in the planning and deployment of software releases, patches, and hotfixes, working closely with development and QA teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, operations, and external partners to improve user experience and ensure smooth system operations.
• Analyze system performance and security metrics using tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, or similar monitoring solutions.
• Automate recurring support tasks and processes to increase operational efficiency.
• Investigate anomalies, conduct root cause analysis, and provide long-term solutions that enhance system reliability.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience supporting enterprise applications or internal business tools, within a regulated or high-compliance environment.
• Degree in IT or equivalent
• Proficiency in Java or similar languages, and experience with scripting or automation tools is a big plus.
• Understanding of ITIL processes, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
