AVP Relationship Manager

The Relationship Manager is responsible for managing and deepening client relationships within an ultra high net worth, multi-family office setting. This role involves serving as the primary point of contact for client families, ensuring exceptional service delivery across investment management, wealth planning, estate administration, philanthropy, tax coordination, and lifestyle management.

• Serve as the primary liaison for assigned UHNW client families.
• Build trust and rapport across generations, understanding family values, dynamics, and legacy goals.
• Conduct regular client meetings and reviews; identify needs, changes, and opportunities.
• Maintain a high-touch, anticipatory service model to exceed client expectations.

• Partner with internal teams (investment, legal, tax, philanthropic, and administrative) to deliver tailored, holistic solutions.
• Coordinate onboarding, account setup, and periodic reviews.
• Oversee service delivery standards, timelines, and communication protocols.
• Track and resolve client issues or escalations with urgency and care.

• Support the implementation and coordination of trust structures, estate plans, and intergenerational wealth transfer strategies.
• Work closely with external advisors (e.g., attorneys, trustees, accountants) to align on family goals.
• Provide input on family governance structures and legacy planning initiatives.

• Facilitate conversations around charitable giving, family foundations, and impact investing.
• Coordinate philanthropic advisory services where applicable.

• Collaborate with lifestyle managers to meet personal requests or family needs, including travel, real estate, and education planning.
• Support the family in both financial and non-financial aspects, reflecting a fully integrated family office experience.

• Ensure all client records, notes, and reporting are accurate, confidential, and compliant with internal controls.
• Leverage CRM systems to manage client history, preferences, and activity logs.

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field required.
• Advanced degree (MBA, JD, Master’s in Tax or Wealth Management) preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CFP, CFA, CPA, TEP strongly preferred.

• 5–10+ years of relationship management experience with UHNW clients, preferably in a multi-family office, private bank, or wealth advisory environment.
• Proven ability to manage complex family structures, trusts, and cross-border wealth issues.

• Deep understanding of financial markets, wealth planning strategies, and estate structuring.
• Experience working with client reporting systems, CRMs, and secure communication platforms.
• Comfortable interpreting legal and financial documents relevant to UHNW clients.
