Position: Corporate Development
Reporting to: Head of Corporate Development

Location: Singapore

Position Description

The responsibilities of the candidate will be to provide support to the Head of Corporate Development in two main areas:

  • Evaluation and execution of Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic Divestments
  • Formation and delivery of ESR Group’s strategy

The candidate will work within the Corporate Development team collaborating with individuals across the ESR business to execute on the activities outlined above.

Key Responsibilities

M&A
  • Preparing quality robust financial models and analysis
  • Undertaking research and analytics to support transactions
  • Assisting in transaction due diligence
  • Assist in evaluating assets and relevant capital structures
  • Drafting presentations, papers and other related materials for management, investors and boards
  • Reviewing and drafting legal documents from a commercial standpoint
  • Assisting with transaction project management including liaising with internal and external stakeholders (legal, tax, finance, financial advisors etc)
  • Assisting with identification of transaction pipeline
Strategy
  • Undertaking strategy research and analysis, identifying market trends and insights to guide strategy
  • Collating information internally from across the business
  • Assisting in the formation of a clear considered group strategy
  • Drafting of strategy materials presented to the board and senior management
  • Assist in managing implementation and delivery of the initiatives identified through the strategy process
Qualification & Experience
  • Target candidate will have 3-5 years’ experience working in investment banking, top tier corporate advisory, real estate / funds management, [top tier law firm] or similar relevant corporate development role
  • Outstanding university academic record
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience across real estate sectors
  • Commercial acumen and ability to think strategically
