English Tuition Teacher - Bukit Batok

Our organization specializes in the AEIS, ELL/ESL and IB programs for Chinese students studying in Singapore. Most of our students attend international schools such as CIS, AIS, NLCS, SAIS, and other private schools.

We are seeking enthusiastic full-time teachers with a passion for educating primary and secondary school Chinese students, who view education as a long-term career. Eligible candidates will be provided with EP (Employment Pass) if they meet the qualifications required by our organization.

Responsibilities:

1. AEIS Preparation:

• Deliver engaging lessons focused on KET and PET and secondary English exam preparation
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Create tailored lesson plans to meet individual student needs.
• Stay updated on the latest KET and PET exam formats and resources.

1. ELL/ESL:

• Advocate for ELL learners.
• Identify ELL students in the grade and develop a programme of intervention, support, and outcomes in collaboration with parents.
• Maintain record keeping in compiling a profile and outcomes achieved for each student. This record needs to be available to the Centre Lead at all times.
• Develop appropriate curriculum (resources and strategies) to help ELL students acquire the English language. Included in this is understanding and applying the IB PYP/MYP Command terms.

1. Student Support:

• Provide one-on-one guidance and support to students, addressing their unique learning challenges.
• Foster a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere that values diversity and cultural perspectives.
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and school staff to monitor and enhance student progress.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's or higher degree in English Literature, Education, or a related field.
• Demonstrated expertise in teaching IB English Language and Literature, with a track record of fostering student success.
• Proficiency in English as a first language, with a deep understanding of British literature and culture.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and language abilities.
• Exceptional communication skills to engage students and cultivate a positive learning environment.
• Able to work 3.5 days on weekdays from 2pm-930pm 2 days on weekend from 10am-7pm. Around 40 hours per week.
• Fluent in both Chinese and English to liaise with chinese speaking parents is a must.
