Job Title: Operations Manager
Job Overview:The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the business to ensure efficiency and productivity. This role involves managing processes, staff, and resources to achieve the company’s operational goals, improve quality, and reduce costs.
The Operations Manager works closely with other departments to implement strategies, streamline processes, and maintain high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Strategy: Develop and implement operational strategies and policies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements, optimize workflows, and ensure that operational systems are running smoothly.
- Team Leadership & Management: Manage, train, and motivate the operations team to achieve company objectives and deliver exceptional service.
- Budget & Resource Management: Oversee the budget for operational activities, manage resources effectively, and control costs.
- Quality Control: Ensure that operations meet quality standards and comply with legal and industry regulations.
- Supplier & Vendor Management: Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best pricing, delivery, and quality of products/services.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and measure key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Risk Management: Identify and address operational risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
- Inventory & Supply Chain Management: Oversee inventory levels, supply chain processes, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., sales, HR, finance) to ensure smooth operations and alignment of objectives.
- Reporting: Provide regular reports to senior management on operational performance, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Customer Service: Ensure that customer service standards are met, and resolve any operational issues that may affect customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical abilities
- Experience in project management and process optimization
- Knowledge of operational systems, CRM, and business management software
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of supply chain, inventory management, and quality control processes
