Responsibilities
You will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic relationships, and providing technical expertise to customers in the oil, gas, and geothermal industries. You will play a key role in promoting our products and solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction, and leading the sales cycle from initial engagement through to post-sale support.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical sales, deep industry knowledge, and a proven track record of success in the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to drive growth and market penetration in the oil, gas, and geothermal industries.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, providing guidance on sales tactics, technical understanding, and customer relationship management.
- Manage complex sales cycles, from prospecting to closing, while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Technical Expertise & Solution Selling:
- Provide in-depth technical support and product knowledge to potential customers, addressing their needs and proposing customized solutions.
- Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and product development teams to tailor solutions that meet client specifications.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to identify new business opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to ensure successful project implementation and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and improve business outcomes.
- Provide detailed sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to senior management.
- Identify and assess new market opportunities and potential partnerships to expand the company's footprint in the oil, gas, and geothermal sectors.
- Contract Negotiation & Proposal Management:
- Lead contract negotiations and pricing discussions, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the client and the company.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality technical proposals, presentations, and bids to prospective clients.
- Oversee project initiation and implementation, ensuring that all deliverables align with client expectations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 8+ years of experience in technical sales or business development within the oil, gas, or geothermal industries.
- Proven track record of success in managing large, complex sales opportunities and driving significant revenue growth.
- Strong technical understanding of products and solutions within the oil, gas, and geothermal sectors.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of an organization.
- Willingness to travel frequently to meet with clients and attend industry events.
