Assistant Project Manager [Residential & Commercial Projects, MEP System] - Toa Payoh

Job Responsibilities:

• Anticipate project developments and make necessary changes or adjustments to ensure the project stays on track and aligns with the original plan.
• Foster a positive relationship with clients by clearly communicating job expectations and deadlines, minimizing the risk of losses due to miscommunication. Additionally, collaborate with other teams to achieve project goals.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring each one progresses smoothly towards completion without any project being overlooked.
• Maintain regular communication with superiors to monitor project budgets. If any project exceeds the budget, take immediate corrective actions to bring it back within the financial limits.
• Conduct regular site meetings, research relevant market data, compile the information into reports, and submit a weekly update to the project manager in charge.

Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electronic Engineering. A postgraduate degree in Construction Management will be considered a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management.
• Strong communication skills.
• Solid understanding of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) building systems.
• In-depth knowledge of legal regulations and safety standards is required.
• Ability to effectively plan, organize, and coordinate team efforts.
• Strong client management skills and the ability to build positive relationships.
• Skilled in motivating, leading, and boosting team morale.
• Excellent time management and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Open to extensive travel across construction sites.
• A strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
