Research Fellow (Nanobiointerface/Cellular Biophysics) - Jurong West
The School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (CCEB) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow, Nanobiointerface, Cellular Biophysics. The Nano-Bio Interface Lab led by Asst. Prof. ZHAO Wenting in the School of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Biotechnology at Nanyang Technology University pioneered aims to elucidate the nanoscale regulation mechanism of how membrane geometry impacts the organization and modulation of cellular and biomolecular machineries in disease progression and therapeutic development.
The lab has established state-of-the-art nanofabrication and advance imaging technologies. The team is seeking to recruit a research fellow devoted to push forward the studies of nanoscale assembly of diverse biomolecules on cellular membranes and mimicks using nanofabricated chips and high-resolution imaging. The project aims to elucidate mechanisms of biophysical guidance of biomolecular assembly and interaction for therapeutic development.
The Research Fellow will take on a significant role in Lead research-projects, training junior members, writing scientific publications and research grants, and coordinate collaboration works.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, run and implement scientific project on nanoscale membrane dynamics in cells.
- Writing scientific publications and grants. Review and current of literatures.
- Collaborate with other research groups, team members, and supervise junior members.
- Coordinate general operation of laboratory including ordering supplies and maintenance
- Train new laboratory personnel, students, and short-term visiting scientists
