Accounts Assistant - Bedok

We are a dynamic trading company based in Singapore. Our Accounting & Finance team plays a crucial role in managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate accounting records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to support our accounting and bookkeeping functions.

Responsibilities & Duties
  • Manage daily accounting transactions, including accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain up-to-date company bank account records.
  • Assist with monthly closing procedures, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation.
  • Monitor outstanding receivables and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Prepare and process GST submissions, tax filings, and statutory compliance reports.
  • Maintain well-organised financial records to support audit preparations.
  • Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and generating management reports.
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and Singapore’s regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or finance roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero preferred, SAP, QuickBooks, or other ERP systems).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., AP, AR, general ledger, tax regulations).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reconciliation and reporting.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in a trading or import/export company is an advantage.
