Vice President – Portfolio Monitoring Team

About the Role

A leading global real estate investment management firm is seeking a Vice President to join its Finance & Investor Services team. The firm specializes in acquiring, developing, and managing logistics/industrial, office, life science, and residential properties.
With a thematic investment philosophy and value-creation approach, the organization operates through a network of over 50 offices across North and South America, Europe, and Asia. The team delivers high-quality real estate solutions to tenants while generating consistent value-add, core-plus, and core returns for investment partners.

The firm employs approximately 450 experienced professionals, including investment officers, asset managers, and operational experts.

Responsibilities

Relationship Management
  • Serve as a key point of contact for investors and limited partners, addressing ad hoc requests, including financial analysis, updates, and portfolio documentation.
Investor Reporting
  • Lead the preparation of periodic performance reports, as governed by fund/joint venture agreements.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of quantitative fund and asset performance metrics for inclusion in reports.
  • Coordinate investment portfolio and valuation reviews with cross-functional team members.
  • Oversee the quarterly portfolio valuation process.
Financial Modelling
  • Develop, maintain, and refine complex financial models for budgeting, forecasting, valuations, and scenario analysis.
  • Build models for new fund products and oversee the performance of existing portfolios.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation to ensure model accuracy and reliability.
  • Analyze large datasets to extract insights and support strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Evaluate and assess valuations for existing portfolio assets.
Other
  • Lead internal special projects as required.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train analysts and interns within the team.
Qualifications
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in the real estate industry, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Strong financial, accounting, and operational acumen, with excellent communication skills and an analytical mindset.
  • In-depth understanding of financial reporting, fund accounting/private equity fund structures, financial statements, and investment performance metrics.
  • Familiarity with technical accounting concepts, including the ability to extract and interpret information from general ledgers.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with lookup functions and data organization.
  • Experience with ARGUS and analytics software is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
