Yishun - Assistant Project Manager, Artificial Intelligence

The successful candidate will run exciting AI projects with various internal and external agencies to design and implement adoption strategy, manage project timeline, risks, change management and stakeholders. Additionally, the Project Manager will play a crucial role in pre-sales activities, including client engagement and proposal development, as well as developing and implementing business strategies to market our products effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Engage with potential clients to understand their needs and requirements, presenting our AI solutions and capabilities effectively.
• Develop and deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and demonstrations to showcase the value of our products.
• Lead and manage AI projects from conception through completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to track progress and ensure adherence to project goals.
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX, data scientists, developers, and deployment team.
• Manage stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains, especially around setting delivery expectations of quality and scope and communicating progress.
• Proactively managing and resolving challenges related risks, dependencies and bottlenecks unique to AI projects, such as data quality, model performance and scalability.
• Oversee the integration of AI models into production environments, ensuring scalability, performance and reliability
• Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering according to expectations and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Ability to value add by conducting market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and trends in the AI industry is a plus.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the AI, technology, or software development industry.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and delivering results on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies and their applications in business contexts.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Proficiency in Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and project tracking tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello, Notion).
• Strong understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud AI services (AWS Sagemaker, Google Vertex AI, Azure ML) and AI frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Understanding of data governance, AI ethics and responsible AI practices.
• Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and IT delivery practices.
• PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, SAFe and/or AI-related certifications (e.g. TensorFlow Developer, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, etc.) are a strong plus.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willing to step out of your comfort zone to learn and adopting a growth mindset in a small but rapidly growing team.
