Our client a private tertiary institution. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting an AP Assistant Manager to be part of their Finance Team for ongoing transformation projects. They are located in the Central - easily accessible.
Duties of AP Assistant Manager:
- Oversee full accounts payable functions, including fixed assets and invoice processing.
- Supervise AP team to ensure compliance with policies and timely month/year-end closing.
- Prepare cash flow projections and manage payment schedules for optimal liquidity.
- Ensure accurate expense reporting, variance analysis, and audit schedule preparation.
- Assist in forecasting, budgeting, and management/board reporting.
- Manage outsourced vendor performance and ensure deliverables are met.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., Edutrust, CPE) and assist in audits.
- Resolve operational issues and act as a business partner to internal/external stakeholders.
- Lead, motivate, and develop the AP team, including performance appraisals and training.
- Handle ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting / Finance, ACCA Certification is an added advantage
- At least 5 years of relevant experience
