Our client is now identifying a newly created headcount, a Product Manager in the Electrical Infrastructure industry to manage the product lifecycle for the business unit in Asia Pacific region.
Description
Reporting to the Global Business Development Director, this role would be extremely crucial for the Asia Pacific Electrical Infrastructure business unit. You will also be challenged to the following:
- Develop and execute the product strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands while working closely with sales, marketing, and account management teams to drive product positioning and go-to-market initiatives.
- Lead end-to-end product lifecycle activities, including business case development, regional product launches, and ongoing portfolio optimization to maximize market penetration.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical support, product training, and collateral to internal teams and channel partners.
- Conduct in-depth competitor analysis, market sizing, and pricing strategy assessments to refine product positioning and maintain a competitive edge.
- Collaborate with supply chain and finance teams on pricing, demand forecasting, and inventory management to optimize business performance.
- Act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, understanding customer needs and ensuring products align with market requirements.
- Support the development and execution of distribution enablement programs to drive market expansion and revenue growth.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-related field
- 7+ years of experience, ideally starting in an engineering role before transitioning into a commercial function such as product management, sales, or business development.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical infrastructure, including power distribution, control, grounding, and cable management.
- Experience working with sales channels, distribution networks, and wholesale electrical markets.
- Proven ability to conduct competitive analysis, market sizing, and pricing strategy development.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with experience in revenue growth initiatives and cost optimization.
- Ability to work independently and navigate a global matrix organization while collaborating across teams.
- Comfortable managing projects and stakeholders across multiple geographies, particularly within APAC (excluding Japan), with a focus on China and India.
- Flexibility to travel 30-50% based on business needs
