Job Role Summary
- To be responsible for planning and overseeing company projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget.
- To develop the company business strategies, targets and action plans and to review and track the progress of those strategies and plans as ensuring that management is provided with useful information in a timely basis.
- To support risk management activities which includes periodical update for risk identification, evaluation and execution of countermeasures, also includes incident management when a risk is actualized.
Area of Responsibility
Project Management (PMO):
- Determine and define project scope and objectives.
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare a budget based on the scope of work and resource requirements.
- Track project costs in order to meet budget.
- Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress.
- Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
- Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.
Corporate Strategy/Action planning:
- Plan and develop the corporate Mid & Long-term strategy to materialize the Company’s vision and objectives.
- Assists in corporate development, especially in the formulation of strategies, action plans and target tracking of projects.
- Direct relevant parties in organizing and developing the Company’s business plan by providing them with the proper guideline and information to ensure the alignment of business plans with corporate strategy.
- Assist in planning and developing the corporate Sustainability action plan in line with the direction indicated by parent company.
- Organize and facilitate monthly management meetings and periodical review of corporate strategies and action plans.
- Provide useful information to the management for its decision-making.
Risk Management:
- Support Senior Manager and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) to coordinate, assess and monitor risk management activities.
- Support Risk Owners to identify risks and establish countermeasures/action plans.
- Compile and evaluate all identified risks and report to Senior Manager, CRO, Risk Management committee.
- At the occurrence of an incident event, receive incident report from risk owner and evaluate and categorise the incident event and report to Senior Manager, CRO.
- Periodically review Risk Management and Incident Management policy and guideline.
- Establish company Business Continuity Plan and conduct mock simulations.
Others:
- Admin for the Sharepoint site for Corporate Planning department.
- Survey monthly, quarter, yearly (EDB etc).
- Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics or equivalent.
- Background in business development, strategic planning, business process analysis, project management.
- 5-8 years of project management and related experience.
- Experience in Project Management and M&A is highly valued.
Professional Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
Aptitude and Skills:
- Able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information sensitively and tactfully.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Strong Excel skills and PowerPoint skills are required.
- Ability to analyse very complex Operations data and draw logical conclusions.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
