Instrumentation Engineer - Geylang

Our client, a company in the industrial machinery, industry is looking for an Instrumentation Engineer to join their team.

Description:

• Acts as the primary point of contact for the client, regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and site personnel regarding all matters related to HVAC control and automation, fire and gas (F&G) detection systems, fire suppression systems (including firewater/foam piping), and telecommunications.
• Performs design and engineering tasks for onshore and offshore E-house integration projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and international standards, including cabling and installation details.
• Possesses a solid understanding of HVAC operations and controls, as well as F&G detection and suppression system design requirements.
• Holds basic knowledge of piping specifications and requirements.
• Oversees the timely delivery of HVAC, F&G detection, and suppression systems, ensuring alignment with project schedules and client satisfaction.
• Ensures designs comply with client specifications, international standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Participates in commercial and technical evaluations for bids and vendor procurement processes.
• Conducts technical reviews and tracks schedules throughout the detailed engineering, procurement, and assembly phases of sub-vendor equipment.
• Collaborates with multidisciplinary project teams, including project management, finance, scheduling, documentation, construction, installation, and commissioning.
• Leads factory acceptance testing (FAT) with clients and subcontractors.
• Supports site commissioning activities to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinates the resolution and closure of all punch list items generated during FAT, mechanical completion inspection test records (MC ITR), and site acceptance testing (SAT).
• Manages issue tracking and ensures proper closure of deviation reports.
• Promotes safety-focused practices in design and ensures safety protocols are followed on-site during commissioning activities.
• Ensures accurate transfer of redline markups into final as-built documentation.
• Oversees the timely submission of project documentation and as-built records to support milestone invoicing.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience Marine & Offshore HVAC, F&G detection and suppression Projects.
• Familiar with NFPA, SOLAS, MODU, API RP 505, IEC 60079 Standards, and DNV/ABS/class requirement.
• Required to have knowledge in HVAC/ F&G testing and commissioning either in Offshore or Plant Projects.
• Mandatory to have experience in Plants/ Offshore/ FPSO E-House project.
