Job Summary:The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all warehousing operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, safety, and productivity. This role involves managing staff, training new staff, implementing processes and standards, and collaborating with other departments to support the overall operational objectives of the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping.
- Lead, train, and develop warehouse staff to increase efficiency and performance.
- Establish and maintain operational procedures for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Oversee inventory control processes and ensure accurate reporting of stock levels.
- Implement safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and logistics, to optimize supply chain processes.
- Analyze operational performance metrics and implement improvements as needed.
- Prepare and manage the warehouse budget, including labor and operational expenses.
- Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field experience preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse management or operations in a supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to analyze data, manage budgets, and drive performance improvements.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and warehouse management software.
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with varying duties.
- Will require lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
