Junior Communications & Business Development Executive - Geylang
Conyers is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Junior Communications & Business Development Executive. This 12 month contract role will be based out of the Singapore office.
This is an integral role that will support Conyers’ global business strategy. Working closely with the Partners, Lawyers and Business Managers, the successful candidate will be the cornerstone of support for the Singapore and Hong Kong offices, and have responsibility for the planning, management and execution of all marketing activities.
This position reports to the Business Development & Marketing Manager (Asia), based in Hong Kong, with a dotted line to the Senior Manager of Communications, based in the Toronto office. Central to the role is interaction with the wider marketing production team including Creative, Digital, Business Intelligence, and Administration, located across Conyers global offices.

Key Job Accountabilities- Working alongside the Business Development & Marketing Manager (Asia), support annual business planning for various practice, industry and strategic initiative groups, and work with lawyers to develop and execute their plans
- Leading and/or providing support for the execution of business development initiatives including: local events, targeting, international business trips, sponsorships, speaking engagements, research, directory and client award submissions
- Working alongside the Senior Manager of Communications, and in conjunction with the Digital team, create coordinated content across a range of channels and functions: collateral, newsletters, alerts, articles and thought leadership pieces, presentations, press releases, client specific materials, pitch documents, event materials, social media content, and market updates
- Together with the Asia Digital team, support integrated online advertising campaigns for practice groups with the view to raising awareness and generating leads in key markets. Assist campaign production through keyword research, assembling marketing briefs and results reporting
- Collaborate with the Global Communications and Digital teams to facilitate the distribution of content from drafting webpages in WordPress and social posts within the Loomly scheduling platform
- Manage budgets and report on progress of marketing plans and key initiatives
- Work with all stakeholders to effectively use CRM system
- Other adhoc administrative tasks as required
- A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or a related field
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or business development within professional services (law firm experience is a plus but not required)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Chinese
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of marketing principles, branding, and business development processes
- Willingness to learn and apply best practices in promoting the firm’s services
- A proactive and motivated team player with a strong work ethic
- Eager to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Able to follow set workflows, processes, and policies while learning to contribute strategically over time
- Familiarity with the offshore legal sector and its key players is beneficial but not essential training will be provided
- Experience with Monday.com, CRM systems, Contact Monkey, WordPress, Loomly (or equivalent) and Cision is an asset
