Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior Cook to lead our kitchen operations and deliver high-quality dishes that exceed customer expectations. As a Senior Cook, you will oversee food preparation, manage junior staff, and ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards.

You will play a critical role in shaping the menu and driving the success of our kitchen team.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Supervision:

  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including assistant cooks and kitchen helpers.
  • Assign tasks and ensure all team members meet food preparation and service deadlines.
  • Provide training on cooking techniques, kitchen equipment usage, and food presentation.

Menu Preparation and Cooking:

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes following menu specifications.
  • Develop and suggest new recipes to enhance the menu and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor portion sizes, reduce food waste, and maintain food cost control.

Kitchen Operations Management:

  • Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently, with all equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, ensuring stock levels meet operational demands.
  • Conduct regular hygiene and safety audits to maintain compliance with food safety standards.

Customer and Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with the service team to understand customer feedback and improve dish quality and presentation.
  • Take the lead in preparing special dishes for events, seasonal menus, and promotions.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a cook, with 3-5 years in a similar senior-level position.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
