As the Assistant Retail Operations Manager, you will oversee day-to-day retail operations in Singapore, focusing on meeting sales targets, analyzing KPIs, identifying performance gaps, executing initiatives, supporting stores, and conducting weekly reviews to drive sales and profitability.
Job Responsibilities:
Retail Sales Development:
- Ensure top-notch customer service and operational efficiency.
- Set and achieve sales targets while monitoring KPIs and competitor activities to identify opportunities and implement action plans.
- Maintain stock optimization and ensure compliance with operational standards and policies.
- Enhance the brand image through effective store visual merchandising, staff presentation, and service quality.
- Collaborate with the Visual Merchandising (VM) and Marketing teams to strengthen the brand image through store displays, sales team grooming, and store upkeep.
- Manage daily store operations, including SOP implementation, stock-taking, and addressing customer service issues.
- Recruit and manage sales team schedules to ensure floor coverage and cost-efficiency.
- Work with cross-functional teams to improve business operations and resolve challenges.
- Motivate, assess, and train sales teams to enhance performance and productivity.
- Collaborate with training managers to deliver skill development programs and coaching.
- Monitor staff performance, manage manpower allocation, and oversee incentive programs.
- Lead and develop a high-performing sales team that adheres to brand standards and SOPs.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals.
- Promote clear communication, teamwork, and the effective execution of promotions and initiatives.
- Lead marketing initiatives such as roadshows and promotional activities.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring thorough product knowledge and professional representation.
- Explore retail expansion opportunities and oversee store fit-outs, relocations, and refurbishments.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with strong business acumen and retail math skills.
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience as an Assistant Retail Operations Manager.
- Experience managing landlord relations and coordinating department store promotions is a plus.
- Highly energetic, results-oriented, and able to work with urgency to meet deadlines.
- Passionate about people development with the ability to drive sales performance.
- Regular store visits are required.
