Bedok - Lead Specialist - Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Lead Specialist - Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence to assumes responsibility for coordinating with internal stakeholders to identify and communicate complex risks associated with specific functional tracks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and highlights key risks to contribute to the risk assessments and development of risk profiles.
  • Monitors adherence to risk policy and guidelines, supporting overall communication and risk reporting mechanisms.
  • Reviews risk assessment approaches across the organisation's regional network to enhance execution and contribute to risk research.
  • Develop and implement business continuity plans for organisational preparedness of disruptive events
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to support business operations
  • Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls
  • Identify all aspects of international trade process and foreign and multilateral trade laws for regulatory compliance
  • Develop and implement operations risk management strategies to facilitate business operations
  • Analyse the impact of latest global regulatory developments and relevant laws on overall audit and/or engagement strategies
  • Enforce corporate governance and risk compliance within the organisation through the establishment of policies, compliance programmes and management systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Finance, Compliance, or related fields; advanced certifications such as Certified Risk Management Professional (CRMP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Certified Compliance Professional are preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in risk management, compliance, operational excellence, internal audit, or related roles, preferably within international trade, compliance, or operational risk management contexts.
  • Proven expertise in risk assessment methodologies, internal control evaluation, and implementation of risk mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to identify complex risks and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively collaborating with various internal stakeholders and teams across different regions.
  • Familiarity with corporate governance practices, regulatory requirements, and risk compliance frameworks.
  • With a logical and critical thought process, he is a problem solver, analytical, meticulous and organised.
