Toa Payoh - IT Executive [Window Server, IT Infrastructure, Microsoft 365]

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing IT functions, including hardware maintenance, software applications, hardware upgrades, data migration, and system installations.
• Provide hardware support for printers, monitors, desktop PCs, laptops, and smartphones.
• Collaborate with the team to plan, install, configure, and test the company’s IT hardware.
• Regularly manage, maintain, and back up the company’s IT network and desktop systems.
• Investigate and resolve user issues and system problems, diagnosing and fixing information system-related issues.
• Oversee and participate in the setup or upgrades of systems, and monitor system performance.
• Conduct problem management (analyzing recurring incidents to identify and resolve root causes) and troubleshoot network, desktop applications, and hardware issues.
• Maintain IT equipment inventory and documentation, ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures, including hardware and software licensing.
• Provide user management and general support for application systems, working closely with the application and infrastructure teams.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required by the company.

Requirements:

• 3-4 years of prior experience, preferably in a technical support role (user and system support) within a Microsoft environment.
• Proficient in setting up Windows Server 2016/2019, with strong knowledge in hardening and securing Wintel systems.
• Skilled in administering Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS, and DHCP.
• Proficient in supporting Windows 10/11 OS, Microsoft 365 services, and other common desktop applications.
• Hands-on experience with the installation and administration of VMware ESXi and vCenter.
• Relevant experience in configuring and troubleshooting firewalls and network switches. Knowledge of networking concepts or a CCNA certification is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of PowerShell/Batch scripting.
• Adept at identifying and addressing security issues such as viruses, worms, and spyware.
• Capable of understanding user requirements and aligning them with system capabilities, regardless of user level.
• A strong team player with the ability to work independently.
• Enjoys providing both phone and in-person support.
• Customer-focused with a strong service-oriented attitude.
