This posting is for Research Assistant positions in the exciting areas of electrochemical ammonia synthesis in the Xianbiao Fu group, which is affiliated with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).
The perspective Research Assistant positions are to develop:
- Understanding the mechanism of Li-mediated NRR and Ca-mediated NRR
- Exploring novel methods for nitrogen activation under mild conditions
- Ammonia electro-oxidation and decomposition
The responsibilities of the Research Assistant also encompass facilitating communication and information flow among groups working in the fields of catalysis and electrosynthesis. Additionally, the Research Assistant will provide management support during the development of larger research proposals and contribute to initiatives aimed at sharing and advancing infrastructure for catalysis and electrosynthesis research.

Qualifications- The applicants must hold M.S. degree (or other equivalent degrees) in chemistry, chemical engineering, materials science or other relevant related fields.
- Experience with catalysis, electrochemistry, organic electrosynthesis, ammonia synthesis, organic synthesis and other related areas, is considered advantageous.
- Experience with material characterization techniques like SEM/EDS, TEM, XRD, XAS, XPS, FTIR, and Raman will also be highly considered.
- Since cross disciplinary work is essential for the success of this project. It is considered positive if the candidate can demonstrate experience in similar work environments.
