We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their dynamic team! The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring the highest standards of quality for cutting-edge laser products.
The Job
The Manufacturing Engineer will play a crucial role in providing daily technical support for production processes, which include cleanroom operations, sub-assembly, optical builds, and final laser testing areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the quality, reliability, and cycle time standards for the laser build process are consistently met.
- Continuously optimizing production methods by leveraging expertise in product design, material selection, fabrication processes, tooling, production equipment capabilities, quality control measures, and warranty standards.
- Managing electronic travelers, assembly processes, and bills of materials to ensure efficient workflows.
- Collaborating with teams in quality, reliability, and supply chain to enhance product performance.
- Implementing effective corrective actions to address customer-reported issues.
- Analyzing complex challenges and conducting in-depth evaluations to develop innovative solutions.
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering (BEng) or an equivalent qualification, with 3-5 years of relevant experience in photonics or related manufacturing fields.
- Proficient in manufacturing, assembly, and test processes, specifically for mechanical assemblies, PCBAs, and optical components.
- Demonstrated expertise in problem-solving and quality improvement methodologies, including Six Sigma DMAIC, Lean principles, DOE, SPC, FMEA, GR&R, and other tools. Certification in Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is an added advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with proficiency in both verbal and written formats.
- Highly self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
