Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership & Hands-on Development:
- Actively participate in and guide the development of advanced AI solutions, including deep learning, reinforcement learning, and graph neural networks
- Lead the implementation of state-of-the-art NLP solutions using spaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, and the latest Gen-AI APIs
- Architect and oversee vector search systems such as Weaviate, Pinecone, and Milvus
- Drive the development of autonomous and multi-agent systems environments
- Guide the integration of generative AI technologies (GPT, DALL-E, GANs)
- Utilise advanced transformer models like BERT, T5, and ViT to solve complex problems in NLP and computer vision.
Strategic Management:
- Develop technology roadmaps aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions across the organisation
- Lead architecture decisions for cloud-based AI solutions
- Balance resource allocation across multiple AI initiatives
People Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing AI engineering team
- Provide technical mentorship and career development guidance
- Build a culture of innovation and continuous learning by driving the recruitment efforts of AI talent
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in Python
- Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn
- Hands-on experience with vector databases and similarity search systems
- Strong background in reinforcement learning and generative AI
- Practical experience with MLOps tools and practices
- Proficiency in big data technologies (Spark, Kafka, Hadoop)
- Experience with cloud platforms and edge computing solutions
Leadership Skills:
- 8+ years of technical experience in AI/with 4+ years of engineering team management
- Proven track record of delivering complex AI projects
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Ability to balance technical depth with business acumen
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in AI/ML roles, with at least 4 years in a leadership capacity, delivering enterprise-grade solutions.
- Recognised contributions to AI research or projects, evidenced by publications or notable projects.
