We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Engineering Manager to lead the design, development, manufacturing, rapid prototyping, and process optimization of our state-of-the-art analyzers. This role is pivotal in driving innovation, ensuring the successful execution of engineering projects, and scaling our operations effectively.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background combined with exceptional leadership and management abilities. They will be responsible for fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment, streamlining processes, and delivering cutting-edge solutions that push the boundaries of analytical technology.This role will report to Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of APRISIUM.
As a Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the following duties:
Leadership Management & Planning:
- Responsible to plan, design, and oversee engineering projects , including setting project timeline, budgetary cost, schedules, resource allocation, ensuring compliance with formal contractual obligations and performance criteria.
- Understand and assess sensor needs and requirements from the businesses point of view, recommend and develop sensor solutions to meet customer needs.
- Lead and mentor engineering teams across mechanical, electronics, fluidics, and software disciplines; delegating tasks, providing guidance, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Collaborate with the R&D, Project Deployment, and other department on big data processing, machine learning, sensor design & development to ensuring seamless integration with IoT analyzers while meeting deadlines for all assigned tasks.
- Oversee the end-to-end design and development of Aprisium’s analyzers, ensuring quality, reliability, and manufacturability.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate features and customer insights.
- Ensure products adhere to CE marking, RoHS, and other relevant regulatory requirements for safety, environmental standards, and quality; collaborate with external certifying bodies to secure necessary certifications and approvals.
- Stay updated on global regulatory changes and incorporate compliance needs into product design and development.
- Establish a streamlined process for rapid prototyping, validation, and iterative improvement of new designs.
- Supervise the development of functional prototypes for testing and customer feedback.
- Understand modularity in product design to enable efficient manufacturing and assembly.
- Plan for and execute the spread of module assembly to the EU and US in the future to support regional markets.
Manufacturing and Vendor Management:
- Work with procurement to identify and develop strategic vendors for manufacturing components and strategic outsourcing.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Define and implement scalable manufacturing processes to support global deployments.
- Optimize designs for cost-efficiency, assembly, and supply chain constraints.
- Establish and oversee rigorous testing protocols for product reliability and performance.
- Ensure all products meet internal quality benchmarks and customer expectations.
- Perform other duties as directed by Management.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 4 years industry experience ( ie: Water treatment, Oil & Gas / Pharmaceutical)
- Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against multiple projects date lines.
- Exhibit strong leadership, effective communication, strategic delegation, critical problem-solving, and decisive decision-making abilities.
- Knowledge of emerging sensor technology trends, data analytic, deep understanding of engineering principles, industry-specific technologies, and methodologies.
- Demonstrate strong technical expertise in mechanical and electronics design, including proficiency in CAD tools and PCB design software.
- Proven track record in designing, developing, and manufacturing IoT-enabled or sensor-based products.
- Experience with fluidics, sensors, or contamination detection technologies is a strong advantage.
- Familiarity with rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing and CNC machining.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and DFM/DFT principles.
