Assistant Operations/Operations Manager (Freight Forwarding) - Changi

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operations department, managing a team of 10 staff.
• Ensure the daily smooth operations of both air and sea shipments.
• Address and resolve operational issues and challenges effectively.
• Maintain proper discipline and operational standards within the department.
• Collaborate with and ensure compliance with Singapore Customs, airlines, and shipping lines.
• Lead by example and manage the team with strong leadership and initiative.
• Ensure continuous improvement in operational efficiency and customer service.
• Report directly to management regarding operational progress and issues.

Job Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in the freight forwarding industry, specifically handling both import and export for air and sea shipments.
• Education: Minimum diploma holder, with strong proficiency in both spoken and written English.
• Skills:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer operations.
• Familiarity with the logistics process, including Singapore Customs, airlines, and shipping lines.
• Personal Attributes:
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Pleasant personality with initiative and the ability to solve problems proactively.
• Work Requirements:
• Able to work odd hours when needed.
• Must reside in the east (Tampines, Bedok, Pasir Ris, Hougang, Sengkang).
• Work Schedule: 5.5-day work week
