Facilities Management Specialist/ Manager (2- year Contract)

About the Role

This role oversees and optimises facilities management operations across the Accuron group portfolio. Key focus areas include strategic planning, budget management, risk mitigation, stakeholder engagement, and ensuring the seamless delivery of facilities services.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in vendor management, sustainability practices, operational efficiency, and compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the relocation of corporate and manufacturing facilities, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Plan and execute facility renovations, upgrades, and expansions while maintaining facility-related records, documentation, and compliance records.
  • Optimize office and facility space utilization to support corporate and manufacturing operations, including planning and managing space layout changes and expansions.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and oversee facility budgets, including maintenance costs, capital expenditures, and energy management.
  • Maintain facility infrastructure and promptly address any facility-related issues to ensure smooth production operations.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of facilities management, including energy management, HVAC systems, security services, and waste management.
  • Lead contract negotiations with service providers, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met, and performance standards are consistently exceeded.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
  • Establish and enforce workplace safety programs, conduct regular inspections, and ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Division (OSHD) and other regulatory standards.
  • Monitor and report on energy consumption, waste management, and sustainability metrics driving continuous improvement and corporate responsibility efforts.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives, including energy-efficient technologies, preventive maintenance strategies, and vendor negotiations.
  • Provide support for after-office facilities-related issues as needed.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Certification in Facilities Management (CFM), Certified Plant Engineer (CPE), or similar credentials (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities management within a manufacturing environment, with proven experience in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency programs, sustainability practices, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Expertise in building systems, maintenance procedures, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage stakeholders and drive initiatives.
  • The ability to start at short notice will be an advantage.
