Release Manager - 2 years contract - Singapore

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage release cycles, address risks, and resolve issues effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Release Planning and Coordination:
• Develop and maintain release schedules to align with project goals and timelines.
• Coordinate with development, testing, and deployment teams to ensure seamless delivery.
• Risk Management:
• Identify and assess risks impacting release scope, quality, and schedules.
• Implement proactive strategies to mitigate risks and resolve potential bottlenecks.
• Stakeholder Communication:
• Provide regular updates on release plans, milestones, and progress to key stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT representatives across various subsystems to ensure alignment.
• Version Control and Documentation:
• Manage software version control processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
• Create and maintain detailed release notes for all planned and completed releases.
• Quality Assurance:
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure all quality gates are met before releases.
• Oversee testing efforts and validate results.
• Monitoring and Incident Management:
• Monitor production systems post-release to identify and address issues promptly.
• Work with Technical Teams and Business Analysts to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for incidents.
• Coordinate with support teams to resolve incidents efficiently.
• Bug Fixes and Hotfix Deployment:
• Prioritize and manage the resolution of critical bugs or user-impacting issues.
• Oversee the deployment of hotfixes to maintain system reliability.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience in release management, software development, or similar roles.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and quality assurance processes.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills for cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with version control systems and incident management practices.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, including conducting Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience in identifying and mitigating risks.

This is a 2 years contract to start, renewable and convertible to permanent.
