Resident Technical Officer (MEP) - Bukit Merah

Responsibilities:

1. Assist M&E Engineer, Superintending Officer Representation (SO Rep) and Resident Engineer (RE) in the supervision and quality assurance of construction works on site
2. Provide standing supervision as and when required by the M&E Engineer, SO Rep and RE
3. To ensure all installation methods and material used are in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications
4. Liaise with the Contractors/ sub-contractors and other Resident Technical Officers (RTO) in the coordination of site works
5. Highlight discrepancies, resolve site M&E issues and monitor site progress
6. Feedback site progress and irregularities to M&E Engineer, SO Rep and RE
7. Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning
8. To check as-built drawings to tally with site installation
9. Ensure the contractors maintain work safety, cleanliness and tidiness of the site
10. Documentation of site records, ie. Inspection records, T&C records, site meetings etc.
11. Aware of the potential and actual OH&S hazards of his activities at the workplace and to highlight / communicate to the PM when he knows of any irregularities. He shall be aware of his individual OH&S obligations by ensuring that he is adequately equipped with appropriate safety gears, by observing closely to all safety rules / regulations / procedures at site and by attending all relevant site safety trainings.

1. Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical or Building Services Engineering from local Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing
2. Minimum eight (8) years of M&E work experience as a Resident Technical Officer
3. Conversant in local construction practices, air-conditioning, electrical, fire protection, plumbing and sanitary services.
4. Good co-ordination skills
5. Good analytical ability with strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Self-motivated, proactive and team player
7. Past work experience in healthcare/residential/institutional projects is preferred.
