- Establish and oversee the company's risk management framework, ensuring effective policies and procedures are in place for credit risk, operational risk, technology risk, and asset-liability risk.
- Define and implement the organization's risk appetite framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory standards.
- Monitor and assess risk exposure across various functions, identifying potential threats and implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Take charge of credit risk management, working closely with the marketing team to refine lending guidelines, review stress test frameworks, and provide insights into credit portfolio performance.
- Oversee market and liquidity risk, including reviewing committee reports, performing stress tests on liquidity and interest rates, and updating contingency funding plans.
- Ensure strong operational and technology risk controls, conducting risk assessments, reviewing operational loss investigations, and supervising business continuity planning (BCP).
- Maintain compliance with MAS guidelines, ensuring risk policies meet industry standards and conducting regular updates.
- Lead and guide risk management staff, ensuring proper training and development to uphold high standards of risk governance.
- Act as a key representative in various risk committees and stakeholder meetings, providing critical risk insights and supporting strategic decision-making.
- Drive a risk-aware culture within the organization, embedding risk management best practices across all business units.
Requirements:
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Risk Management, or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in risk management, with a strong focus on credit risk and liquidity risk within a bank or financial institution.
- Proficient in risk assessment methodologies, stress testing, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders and drive risk initiatives effectively.
- Adaptable and hands-on approach, capable of working in a dynamic and evolving environment.
