The Finance Manager/Assistant Finance Manager will be responsible for supporting the finance department in various aspects of financial management, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This role will assist in ensuring that all financial processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reporting for the Group.
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Prepare variance analysis and support the Finance Director/ Senior Finance Manager in explaining financial performance.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and monthly financial forecasts.
  • Monitor actual performance against budgeted figures and provide explanations for significant variances.
  • Participate in financial forecasting processes and collaborate with other departments to gather relevant data.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Oversee/monitor day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Ensure timely payments to vendors and manage collections from customers.
  • Review and monitor supplier invoices and resolve discrepancies.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Assist in cash flow monitoring and ensure sufficient funds are available for operational needs.
  • Assist in managing working capital and improving cash conversion cycles.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Support the Finance Director/Senior Finance Manager in implementing and maintaining effective internal controls.
  • Assist in preparing for internal and external audits, providing requested documents and reports.

Financial Analysis and Recommendations:

  • Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Support the Finance Director/ Senior Finance Manager in analyzing financial data and identifying areas for cost savings and process improvements
Financial Operations
  • Assist with day-to-day financial operations.
  • Assist with the monthly reconciliation of account balances.
  • Assist with other adhoc projects/tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) are a plus.
  • 3-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
